Galleries Petting Zoo Ruckus

The Galleries, Washington were today evacuated for a short time after the planned Easter petting zoo went haywire.

Shortly after 3 pm an escaped Horse that had been the prize exhibit of the petting zoo, was startled by the amount of flash photography and set off an uncertain series of events ending in a mini stampede occurring throughout the shopping centre.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the ruckus however it did take several hours for the animals to be brought back under the control of the handlers.

Scoops Mckenzie as always was on hand to investigate further.

A spokesman for The Galleries stated " Here at the Galleries we have seen some stampedes, so are well versed in how to best handle one. Normally it's much larger mammals. You should see this place at Christmas."

" I had just finished my shopping when all of a sudden it was like a scene from The Lion King," said single mother of one, Tracey Smothers, 26.
