Superheroes Assemble In Harraton


Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, its Washingtons very own Comic Convention held at Harraton Community Centre, Washington opened its doors for the first time today.

A large group of amateur superheroes and other stars from television amassed at Harraton Community Centre to share all the excitement that the convention brings.

The Washington Gazettes very own Scoops Mckenzie was there to catch up with the event organizers. Local Entrepreneur Sadiq Khatri, 41, and Pop Culture Enthusiast Cameron Akchein, 52.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to start something a bit different in Washington," said Mr. Akchein. "It's great to see it has been so embraced by the locals."

Mr. Khatri told the Washington Gazette, "Of course everybody is welcome to the week-long event, we urge everyone to dress up and represent their favorite film, comic or T.V shows"

"We also have all sorts of surprises lined up too. So come join in the fun and don't miss out!"

The event runs until Sunday and admission is free if you are in costume. This applies to Men, Women and Children.
