OAP in Rooftop Drama!
Shocking sights abound this morning on top of The Galleries Bus Stop as elderly local Granville Lovitt, 79, found himself stranded on the rooftop.
Mr. Lovitt,79, had to be escorted cautiously down by a calm group of local Police Officers.
Northumbria Police confirmed that he was taken to the station but later released to his home in Columbia, Washington, without charge. However, Granville did receive a stern warning about such reckless behaviour.
In a revealing twist, a top secret source told the Washington Gazette that all throughout his time in the station Granville pleaded complete ignorance as to how he became stranded atop the bus stop in the first place.
Our roving reporter Scoops Mckenzie was dispatched to go and retrieve Mr. Lovitt's account of events first-hand exclusively for the Washington Gazette. Scoops was unable to speak to Mr. Lovitt directly though he did manage to get a statement from his concerned Son Hugh Lovitt, 50," My Dad is not to blame here! He has suffered silently for years with this crippling condition he suffers blackouts and as far as anyone can tell when he wakes up he is somewhere completely different. It seems like these situations are just getting too bizarre to contain anymore!"
The Washington Gazette is sure poor Granville isn't the first person in Washington to black out and wake up somewhere they shouldn't!
